Paper rockets... If you remember your school days from 3rd to may be till the end one way or another you would have had fun with your friends with paper rockets. I have done mostly after the exams and when it was like quaterly, half yearly and annual we would have obviously not got caught playing with them because after exams anyway we would go home and teachers don't care what happens. But if it was a mid-term or unit test then we have quite a bit of chance that we would have got caught and had taken some nice beatings and scolding from them because of playing. It will happen only when the class is loud and no one is there to watch us and we guys would make them fly all over the place. You can ask how would have you been caught because we should write our roll number in the question paper for mostly one reason to avoid cheating in one marks and this made us to get caught for flying rockets, because rockets made will be in the question paper :). My father will also make rockets from the daily sheet calender at night and it will be so small but still it would fly superbly. At night when we watch TV he makes them and during those days we had our roof like with baboos sticks on top of them will be Kai Oodu. So he flies them verticly towards the roof and it will stuck in the gaps of the bamboo. When my cousins come this would be a game where whose rocket stuck there for a long time. This was one of the ways where we had fun.


At one time there was a book fair happening in our school and I bought this book which is primarly to make rockets based on different styles. After seeing this book only I came to know that we can make rockets in different styles and they would fly accordingly for different styles. There were around four styles of making rockets and they give you about 100 some coloured pages and also for each page they provide a mark at the top for what style to use for making the  rocket. I tried and had fun with them in my home. I did take some to my school and I had  fun with them with my friends. I still have that book with quite a bit of pages left to play(attaching them below). But still the joy and the fun we had much was with these normal rockets where we used to make them after our exams.
